I started designing under the name Ollie Otson when I was fifteen. At that time, I sold custom purses on LiveJournal, before eventually switching over to the trifold wallets I currently make and still sell in my shop.
After moving to Savannah, Georgia in the fall of 2007 to start college at the Savannah College of Art and Design as a Production Design major with a focus in Costume Design, I began to sell on Etsy and have sold various handmade items, from purses, to wallets, to clothing, to jewelry since.
In the summer of 2009, I moved to California and began to work at a vintage store in Burbank. This is when my true love for vintage began. I realized I could take my love and knowledge of costume design and combine it with everyday fashion. I was hooked.
A year later, I moved back to Savannah and began seeking and selling vintage. My Etsy shop went from mainly handmade, to mostly vintage with some handmade thrown in using vintage and vintage-inspired aspects.
As of August 2012, Ollie Otson has become more that just an online site. I just opened up a physical shop in the Heart of the Historic Downtown area of Savannah. If you're in the southern-Georgia/South Carolina area, come visit the shop!

I strive to bring the my shoppers high quality merchandise that really makes a statement and speaks for the era. I'm generally drawn to colors and prints or anything intricate, whether it be beading or appliqué work.
Vintage is what I love, and I love seeing my customers happy with their purchase and feeling great about what they are wearing. It's a great feeling!
